Abstract
In this research, the recovery of rare earth elements from Chahgaz ore has been investigated by acid leaching process. Also, the effect of different parameters on the dissolution of rare earth elements was investigated. The results showed that leaching temperature, leaching time, size of ore particles, acid concentration and liquid to solid ratio are important factors in recovering rare earth elements from ore. Temperature 85 degrees Celsius, time 6 hours, concentration of sulfuric acid 1.5 M, liquid to solid ratio 2 and particle size 150 microns in the optimal washing process to was achieved. In these conditions, the recovery percentage of rare earth elements from Chahgaz ore was 95%.
