تغییر تدریجی فاصله‌ی الکترودها به عنوان روشی ابتکاری در طراحی شمارنده تناسبی تک سیمی حساس به محل ورود تابش

چکیده
آشکارسازهای حساس به محل ورود تابش، آشکارسازهایی هستند که می‌توانند محل ورود تابش را تعیین کنند. یکی از انواع این آشکارسازها، شمارگرهای گازی تناسبی هستند. آشکارسازهای گازی حساس به محل ورود تابش عموماً به دو روش تقسیم بار و زمان صعود کار می‌کنند. در این تحقیق ضمن مرور روش تقسیم بار به منظور مقایسه، روشی ارایه می‌شود که بر پایه‌ی تغییر فاصله‌ی بین الکترودها استوار است. برای آشکارساز گازی تناسبی ساخته شده با این روش، نمودارهایی ارایه خواهد شد که نشان می‌دهند این روش هم می‌تواند گزینه‌ی مناسبی برای آشکارسازی محل ورود تابش کم انرژی به شمار آید. با توجه به نتایج به دست آمده، از این روش نمی‌توان برای طول‌های بلند آشکارساز استفاده نمود. قدرت تفکیک مکانی از 0.1  تا mm1 در طول 15 سانتی‌متر از حجم حساس شمارگر تغییر می‌کند.

Gradual Variation of Distance between Electrodes as a Novel Method in Design of Single Wire, Position Sensitive Proportional Counter

چکیده English

Position sensitive detectors (PSD) are instruments that determine the position of the incident radiations. One type of these detectors is the gas flow proportional counter. Generally, position sensitive detector works in two different methods, so called charge division and rise time methods. In this paper, we explain our new method that is based on the gradual variation of the electrodes distance. Our results in this research show that the introduced method can be a good choice for determining the position of low energy radiations. In this counter, spatial resolution considered to be varying from 0.1 to 1mm along 15 centimeter of the active length.
